I am sure I am the last one to do so, but I finally saw "Sicko" tonight; it was absolutely abhorrent. That anyone could be denied medical care in America is ludicrous. I've been on this side of socialised medicine long enough that I began to forget what it's like there, the fear and stress you have about your healthcare. It takes seeing that to remember how lucky I am to not have to worry about it.
Actually, no, I am not lucky - that's how it should be. We're not lucky here - it's just effed up over there.
Anyway, if I am not the last one to see "Sicko", get it. Be appalled. Maybe now, with change in November, maybe something can happen.
Happy to be on this little island tonight,
Shaun
