I had the most amazing experience coming home tonight. I took a night bus to Trafalgar Square, where I can transfer to a night bus to home, and I finally got to see the new statue, "Alison Lapper Pregnant". Absolutely amazing. But that wasn't the whole event -- they were rehearsing for the anniversary of something with the Royal Navy, so I was there, essentially alone, with images & lights being projected on the buildings around the square, extra lighting on the statues, but I could sit on the wall alone and look at the sculpture. Beautiful.
It will be there for another 16 months, so no major rush, but those of you who will be coming this way, definitely see it before it leaves.
